Hi again!

I'm Tess, a product designer who recently graduated with a master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction + Design from UW. Before that, I worked as a visual designer at Cultural Care Au Pair - a product of EF Education First in the travel + education space. There, I collaborated with cross-functional partners in marketing, sales, and customer success to create brand-aligned digital and print assets for diverse audiences.

Before transitioning into design + tech, I was a garden center manager and flower farmer on an organic farm. Believe it or not, the farm was where I first practiced design thinking, although I didn’t have the vocabulary to describe it that way at the time. I was in charge of visual merchandising and during peak season, making the most of the limited space we had was a true design challenge with many constraints to navigate and embrace! To this day, I draw inspiration from color, shape, and movement in the natural world.

Now, as a product designer, I leverage my expertise in visual communication, analytical mindset and passion for solving human-centered problems to craft elegant + intentional technology.
